Recording problems :(

I have transferred nearly all CD's from my two favourite artists via Simple Burner to Hi-MD, then I tried to record music analogically from cd-player (because Simple Burner doesn't recognize some CD's because of copy-protection, which I'm very angry about) but then after few seconds of recording, my MZ-NH600 just plain stops. No editing, nothing.. the system just turns off and is like nothing happened. WTF is this?!

well.. I used a power-adapter that I bought from electronics shop, which I have used while recording analogically to regular Minidiscs (Hi-MD-formatted) without problems..

I solved the problem by removing the adapter and put a new battery in it, now it works fine, but I don't want to waste battery to recording :/

It's possible that the adapter is slightly underpowered, even though it fits the plug. Recording needs more power than data transfer. You may have to get one of Sony's overpriced adapters.

I had something like this this happen with a used CD player. The seller had bought it in Japan, and although the adapter came with the CD player and plugged into a US socket, it didn't have enough juice to run the CD player here.
