Sbetsho
I have transferred nearly all CD's from my two favourite artists via Simple Burner to Hi-MD, then I tried to record music analogically from cd-player (because Simple Burner doesn't recognize some CD's because of copy-protection, which I'm very angry about) but then after few seconds of recording, my MZ-NH600 just plain stops. No editing, nothing.. the system just turns off and is like nothing happened. WTF is this?!
A440
That's bizarre. Simple question, but is your battery charged?
Sbetsho
well.. I used a power-adapter that I bought from electronics shop, which I have used while recording analogically to regular Minidiscs (Hi-MD-formatted) without problems.. I solved the problem by removing the adapter and put a new battery in it, now it works fine, but I don't want to waste battery to recording :/
A440
It's possible that the adapter is slightly underpowered, even though it fits the plug. Recording needs more power than data transfer. You may have to get one of Sony's overpriced adapters. I had something like this this happen with a used CD player. The seller had bought it in Japan, and although the adapter came with the CD player and plugged into a US socket, it didn't have enough juice to run the CD player here. jadeclaw
Use the stabilized adaptor Sony recommends. These el-cheapo 3 Euro wall-warts either don't have enough power or their voltage is too high, damaging the unit.
