HiMD vs NetMD Remote (et al)

Ok, all. Am considering an upgrade to HiMD 'cause my MZ-NF610 NetMD has started to stop, skip, and squeel lik a FF tape. Could be the unit or could be the evironmental temperature where I work is below the operational minimum. Anyway, the NF610 came with the RM-MC37LT (TV/Weather/AM/FM) remote. Similar to the RM-MC38LT that comes with the NHZ800DKIT HiMD.

Anyone know if the low end HiMD MZ-NH600DKIT with accept the MC37LT remote?

And, as the NH600DKIT does not have optical/Lin, anyone tried dropping music files on to the HiMD as a USB drive from a Mac (OSX 10.3.7)?

Would appreciate any info y'all may 'ave.

God Bless,

Radio-remotes do not work with the NH600D

Recording music onto MD is not possible with the NH600D on a Mac.

You might try using VMWare to install Windows and SonicStage, but buying a NH800 is cheaper...

You can use the NH600D as an USB-Drive, but it cannot play the stuff, you copy on it, SonicStage IS necessary for that.

And SonicStage IS Windows only.

My advice: Take the NH800 and record realtime until you either get a windows box or

Sony decides to release a Mac version of their Software.

No Windows for this house. Already dumped twelve Windows boxes in the trash and went Mac. Not a real good thing for an MSCE to say, but hey juss' can't afford the time needed to keepo Windows running. Maybe an NH800, but I could go iPod Mini for the same price. Only thing that keeps me with MD is what I have invested already and the LithiumIon batteried in all the others. I'll burn out a LiIo in less than 6 mths.
