shibany69
Well I just bought 2 Sony NI-MH 2300mAh batteries for my nh700 to replace the 700mAh coming with it.I'd like to know if I can charge them with the adaptator of the walkman... will it be an "intelligent" charging or will it only charge them as if they were 700mAh ones? Christopher
It will intelligently charge, but I wuld advise not charging them in the unit and use an external charger. I explain why a bit in here: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=7423
shibany69
Well, since my external charger is Ultra-slow 100%guaranteed and makes no "intelligent charging" I'm trying to charge them in the Hi-MD unit but I look after it. Surprisingly after about 1h charging, batteries aren't warm at all... everything seems to be good... I hope it will continue this way
Christopher
Another thing I hate about charging high capacity batteries is the way the gain weight. Ever get a fat battery after charging? Annoying.
shibany69
You mean the batterie will get heavier after charge? Anyway, I made the test of charging it again and it stops after about 2min.The unit may have charged them "intelligently" and it nevet got warmer than with the 700mAh batterie. Thanks for your help, I think i'll give feedback about the battery life later... (I guess it will be really later ) Edited January 6, 2005 by shibany69
Christopher
Yeah, I've had a gumstick battery get a little curvy on me, like my girlfriend.
