KKop
I just got my NETMD (MZ-N420D) today, and have upgraded the Sonicstage software to version 2.3. I am now transferring the files from my CD's to 'My Library'. I am trying to set the 'Format/Bit Rate' to MP3. According to the help, this should be possible, but it also mentions that: 'Note"MP3 (MPEG1 Audio Layer 3)" cannot be selected unless "SonicStage MP3 Add-on Program" is installed on your computer. Where do I get this add-on?Thanks.Rino
Fat Tires
Even if you could get the app, I dunno about that, the N420D wouldn't be able to use MP3s. It only reads ATRAC3 files. LP2, LP4, and it can read SP files that were made via another recorder. The Sonicstage software can only convert MP3s to ATRAC3 files for your MD unit. ROMBUSTERS
ya thats right. your NetMD cannot even playback the MP3 files so really transfering them to your library in Atrac3 mode is the best bet. plus then you don't have to transcode them when you put them on your NetMD
