MagicAleX
Hello, this is my first posting here though I read this board all the time. I have a NH900 and have been very happy with it. The first one I had was defective out of the box and was returned right away. The replacement has worked like a charm, at least until the other day. I went to see Mission Of Burma in NYC this weekend. I recorded both of their sets and the opener(Damon and Naomi). After the show I was at a friends place and we listened to the second set, which sounded great and had no problems. The next day when I got home I hooked up the USB and began a real time upload into Total Recorder. I got 10 minutes into the Dmaon and Naomi set when it just stopped, I tried it again, it stopped in the same spot again. I tried going forward a bit, there is music there but there are more points where it would just stop. I tried the recording of the first set of Mission Of Bumra and had the same problem. It just stops dead in certain places. I thought maybe the problem was the Sonic Stage software so I just put on my headphones and played the disc. It still stops but it is more like a pause and then it starts again, it is not like a dropout because of a bad line, I've had those and know the characteristics. When it stops the player sounds, I don't know, confused. In a few places before it starts agin it sounds like a moment of music out of charcter with the song at hand bursts in for a split second then what is supposed to be there starts again. I am really frustrated about this, I would hate to have to get another player or wait on a repair, but it is looking like it. Has anyone had a problem like this? Oh yeah, the third disc recorded that night still plays like a charm.
