olive
Okay, I'm a newbie to MD so bear with me...I have Sonic Stage 2.3 loaded and ready for use, but I have a few questions before I make my first transfer. My music library is all in MP3 format. I understand that in order to get it on the MD (MZ-N707) I have to convert to ATRAC, but I'd like to be able to convert only the files I'm transfering and then remove the .omg file from the hard drive once the transfer is complete. Is there a simple way to do this? Can I even do this at all? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
ROMBUSTERS
yes and no. you could transfer them to your MD (letting SS convert them on the fly) and then go back into the file properties and delete the OMG file.alternatively you could burn then to a CD (or mount them as a virtual drive) and use Simple Burner to record them (probably the better option)
dex Otaku
The simplest way to do this is to import your mp3s, convert them and put them on your MD or HiMD, then go back to the library after and simply delete the tracks. SS will give you options on "how" to delete them. You want to tell it to "remove from your library" and also "remove the oma/omg files from the computer". Those aren't exact wording, but it should be clear enough to get things done. This will leave the mp3s alone but delete the SS versions, and remove the tracks from your library.
