Netmd And Older Md Players?

I've got myself an old MD/CD player combo made by Pioneer called "Happy Tune" (odd name, I know), but it was made with so many different color variants it's scary, so I'm sure some of you have seen them. But that's besides the point.

Anyway, whenever I put in an MD I made with Sonicstage, my player can read the track titles and groups, but no sound comes out. I put in an old minidisc that came with the player, and it works fine. Is there a way for sonicstage to allow new MDs to work with this? Note that I'm talking about standard NetMD - not Hi-MD.

Also, while we're on the subject, my player seems to keep saying "TOC READ" whenever I put in a cd - what could be the problem? Thanks in advance! biggrin.gif

You can see the "Happy Tune" here:

Please note mine has a MUCH nicer color scheme than the ones depicted. biggrin.gif

[[EDIT]]:

I'd also like to note that old MDs made with my ANCIENT first-generation MD recorder work in this player too. I used to record analogue from CDs.

NetMD uses LP2 and LP4, your pioneer system cannot read those files...it should display "LP:" in front of the track names (LP units remove that).

In order for them to play in it, you'll have to use the "fake SP" method, it's in the options somewhere, but it says "stereo recording" or something like that.

when you go to the transfer to MD tab of sonicstage click details at the bottom and click the very last option (Stereo Mode). In this mode the discs should play with your unit but be warned it takes a long time to transfer

problem will be....(if he choose to transfer at SP):

1. a 80min disk will become 80min disk again

(it can record 160min if u choose LP2)

2. yes, longer time for transfer

well, u may ask yourself, if playing these md disk in your pioneer player that important?

or u may think directly play them in ur pc would be better?(in case these songs should be already in ur pc)
