Bucky
I have juz upgrade my OMG to sonicstage 2.3. But it always hangs at the initializing UI components stage. The program cannot even be started. Does anyone have a similar problem? Regardless of me following the instructions given on the FAQ(unistalling), I still cannot solve the problem. Hope that can find some help here. I am using xp service pack 2. Thanks Edited February 10, 2005 by Bucky

wayneunique
Tried it on another PC and it worked fine, which is strange as both PC's was installed and set up the same.I personally think it might be graphics card driver related. Bucky
Yup, same here. Tried on my old P2 running on XP and it works. Bt my P4 on XP did not. I was Reinstalling my P4's OS and that was the first media software tt I installed. It manage to start as normal. But aft that, my pc auto restarted everytime I used sonicstage. I reinstalled my pc 3 times because of sonicstage 2.3. It juz simply did not work on my P4. So I am giving up to save the trouble of reinstalling my pc again. Ishiyoshi
The problem you guys experience seems to relate to the "omgjbox.exe" issue. I know most of you have WinXP SP2. Regardless, try installing the MS04-032 Security Update for Windows. In addition, check both the version of your OpenMG Limited Patch and OpenMG Secure Module. The current version for OpenMG Limited Patch is 4.0-04-11-28-01 and OpenMG Secure Module is 4.0.0.5.If you have done the above and it is still not resolved, try and uninstall any new NVIDIA drivers, which you have recently installed. Newer NVIDIA drivers are known to cause problems. Edited February 15, 2005 by Ishiyoshi

Bucky
Ishiyoshi, thank you very much. You have solved my problem! It is indeed the NVIDIA drivers that caused the problem. I must have updated it thru windows update. When I check the date of the driver, it was july 2004. Seems to be quite a new driver. So I decided to use my old drivers. Took out the cd that came with my graphics card and loaded it in. Old driver and everything works now. StEaLtH, my motherboard is from asua p4b. Not really sure about the chipset. Maybe 845 series. Anyway, I think it could be the graphic card driver problem. Check the date of the graphic card driver, try using a older one. It worked out for me.
