Guest tony wong
I don't know which forum to post so I choose this oneI just bought a new md mini hi fi system CMT-333NT1. is songs recorded from HIGH SPEED DUBBING mode in the bookshelf system?I have seen an article say the songs recorded this way is actually LP2 or LP4 from mindisc.org before(but I just can't find the article again to prove it)anyone have clues?2. I have my player MZ-E710(it's a japanese version, u may not be able to find it in ur countries)Used it for about 2 years(over 10hours a day, usually 10-14 hours a day)and now, the battery(both NIHM and AA batteries) went out very fast(but for AA battery it may still stand for 2-3 hours or even....say 6-7 hours)is my sony rechargable battery(NI-HM1200) already worn out?I usually won't charge it, I only charge it when I just bought this playeralmost never charge the rechargable battery againI only use AA battery, as I can buy it in the shops easilyis it the machine problem or battery problem?I found a mysterious fact from this unit(and I think it may be also true for the other player models that only play WHEN the RECHARGABLE battery is PLACED INSIDE OF THE UNIT, e.g. E610, N10)that I found if the rechargable battery is not full and u attached the AA battery with the unit, the rechargable battery will becomes full after some times(say a few hours)is it because there is a difference in volt or something like that which cause the unit to automatically charge the rechargable battery when u connect the unit with AA battery?would it be possible that the unit is actually only using the power supply from rechargable battery(may be the circuit)....that would mean....we are using the rechargable battery even if it is not charged and empty, and even when we are using the power of AA battery?thx for any feedback first Edit 1 : change the description Edited February 11, 2005 by tony wong
Guest tony wong
things to clearify :1. high speed dubbing means 4x speed2. as I remember, that article in minidisc.org say the actually recorded song on md is in LP2 or LP4 formatand, I am trying to find the fact by recording a disco song in both 4x speed and LP2 and LP4 formatlook if I can find any difference
Guest tony wong
edited at a later time : I cannot be certain for that nowThe following should be(but until now I still can't make sure) wrong, if u want to have a look, just highlight themwell, I think I have found the answer alreadyI think I'll have to state the reason why I am so aware of this thingI do have a md mini hi fi alreadythe reason for me to buy a new one is just for the 2x/4x speed to dub my cd to mdand the old is not functioning very well..... why I will discover this fact is because I just make a md copy from the Kylie Ultimateand occasionally, I have used a new headphones as wellso I never notice the difference it made from the md recorded with my new md mini hi fithen, I thought it was just my new headphone problem for the light basstonite I use my old headphonethen discover that, seems the treble part and the bass of these songs is weakened(in fact, I have already discovered this thing before, but I have thought it is the failure of the album maker who haven't remastered the songs of the 1st disk of the Kylie collectionwell, u know, songs recorded in the 90's may not be that good in quality)then I remember I have read article about this thing before in minidisc.orgwell, I'll have to saythe difference for SP and LP2 is actually not that noticeablebut, yesu can only record in real SP mode(ATRAC compression but not ATRAC3 compression) with real time recordingany recording except 1x speed cannot produce real SP mode songs Edited February 17, 2005 by tony wong
