phatchance00
Please Help! I am really getting frustrated. I have a sony MZ-NF520D and i'm running ss2.2.00.0920. I bought some music from walmart using windows media player. I was able to import the music (.wma) into ss but when i try to play the songs via ss i get an error "There is invalid rights management information in the openMG content". When i try to 'convert format' or transfer the song to my unit i get an error "Unable to convert copyright protected content". When i look at the license info in media player, it says the song can be burned 10 or more times and the file can be sychronized an unlimited number of times. I don't get it. I've tryed everything i know of to no avail. Thanks for the help!
aeriyn
SonicStage cannot convert DRMed .WMA tracks. If you really need the music on MD, burn the DRMed .WMAs to CD and use Simple Burner to get the burned CD to MD.

So, am I limited to downloading music from the "Connect Music Store"? (sorry for the dumb questions)
Justin42
Not really. As long as you can burn whatever music you buy to CD, you can use Simpleburner to then take that CD and put it onto a MD.

Lunch any type of sound recording software.2. Choose from Windows audio mixer - recordin mixers panel.3. Choose checkbox with something like - All or WAVE.4. Press RECORD in your recording software5. Then start to playback your protected wma files in mediaplayer or OMA or OMG files in Sonic Stage.6. Press stop in your RECORDING PROGRAMM, after ending of playback.7. Save yor record in parts in any form you want and then convert or import for conversion in SS.Thats all!!!!!

Then, re-rip the audio cd into whatever application you use - yes it's transcoding, but unless you don't have to transcode anyway, it's your best option - plus it will remove any DRM restrictions.
