Malcolm Stewart
I'm new to the group, live in the UK, and bought my first Hi-MD, an NH900, just two weeks ago. First, let me say "Thanks to everyone" here for helping me make my buying decision. I discovered this morning that when I set my NH900 to the LINE OUT setting, it is not possible to change the volume. The manual doesn't explicitly mention this, but to me it's a good feature as it will help me getting the best dynamic range when uploading to my PC's hard drive. Once I've found the optimum setting for the gain control for my soundcard, it will not need changing. (I'll have to always remember not to use the headphone setting!)At the moment, I'm mainly using my NH900 for wildlife and location sound recording, and I am recording in dummy head stereo.
