sndlwood
it seems i still suffer from the same errors i encountered before installing xp service pack 2. When attmpting to imoprt certain files the program crashes because of the omgjbox.exe error. service pack 2 did not solve this error. i can import some files and not others of the same file type and similar size.i would love to unistall sonicstage and use any other transfer meathod if i knew what else was available for me. I use a sony netmd mz-ne410and/or fix the sonicstage somehow to prevent this irritation.s.p.s. for some reason the sony support doesn't seem to have any...support nor does connect. sndlwood
I did in fact uninstall and re-install the software as per the instructions above. I followed the instructions as closely as possible though they were somewhat general. I am still experiencing the same issues as before with the same files as before. I was able to import about 90% of my audio files but for no reason what so ever 10% of the files cause the omjgbox.exe error. these files are all mp3's all created and converted the same way as the files that did import successfully. My appeal is for either a concrete sollution to my problem (does anyone understand why only these few files are effected?) or another option to transfer audio files to my md-walkman. Is there really no other program avalible?Sadly my model has no line-in port only usb...thanks for your assistance.S.
LowMD
The affected files might be variable bitrate (VBR) mp3s, which SonicStage doesn't like. You could burn them to an audio CD with Nero and then transfer them from the CD. To transfer directly from CD and bypass SonicStage's My Library, Sony also provides MD Simple Burner--insert the CD, click the red arrow. You can get that here.http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=5552Unfortunately, with Sony's idiot encryption, we are all stuck with SonicStage. sndlwood
Thanks for your help i was able to transfer files to my md using the above recommendation. I would now like to be able to transfer these files from my MD to my library. I attempted to perform this by clicking on a single file and choosing transfer to my Library from the drop down list, the transfer seemed to take place yet I am unable to locate the file in My Library. So the file is no longer on my MD and seemingly nowhere on my hard drive.
