Hi,

I'm still not able to import CDs into Sonicstage 2.3 library, on my computer running Windows XP/SP1

importing audio files works.

error message is : "an error has occured while preparing to import the CD".

Are the driver used to import audio files (omg format) and the one used to import cd tracks (oma format) the same ?

Sony support told me to unselect entries in msconfig start tab then reselect them one by one, but I had not success with it.

Thanks for any help.

Upgrade to Sonicstage 3 - the links to such are available at the pinned topics within this forum. Additionally, upgrade to Service Pack 2. In fact, please just read the pinned topics at the top of this forum and then come back to this.

Hi kurisu ,

I have followed your instructions ( I should have been looking at the pinned topics before posting, this time I have not, sorry for that).

format and bit rate windows are still empty, and error message is still there.

but cd reading test has completed successfuly, I don't remember that it was ran before.

I 'll investigate Sony advice further.

Anyway, thank you very much for your help.

Sorry for boring you again, but I would like to know the name of SS3 CD-R Writing module ;

As someone told me in this forum, maybe this module is missing in my installation, though it appears on About popup with version : 3.0.00.14040

Apart "Format" and "bit rate" lists stiil empty, I have now this SonicStage error : "An invalid argument was encountered" after closing "CD Importing Format (My Library)" popup.

I run Windows XP/SP1 on a A115B VAIO laptop , I would prefer avoiding to upgrade to SP2 if possible.

It is a french version, so all Sony stuff is in "Fichiers Communs" instead of "Common Files" (but this directory exists too).

Any idea ?

Thanks.
