cynxing
I transfered a HiMD disc to the provided SonicStage 2.0 before I realized you could download 2.3 and that I needed the wav converter. Once it replaced 2.0, 2.3 did not recognize the old 2.0 album HiMD transfers - until I tried to transfer them again and then, ALAS! NO TRACK! What happens when Sonic Stage "deletes" your material? What is that about, anyway? If I had transfered on a different PC would the material have been alright for the second transfer? Is all of my precious interview lost, lost I say? Is it in any way retrievable?Help me Obi Wan.
Christopher
Most likely lost. This seems to occur very rarely in Sonicstage 2.3 and beyond. Please upgrade to Sonicstage 3, btw.
dex Otaku
2.0 would upload and store as OMG, no? So shouldn't the library automatically update OMG tracks to OMA?I never ran into this, myself, so I don't know the solution. It's possible that your tracks are still sitting there in the SS library, but haven't been converted yet.You can look in the SS storage folder, there will be a subdir titled "Hi-MD" that should contain your uploaded tracks.Otherwise, sorry, but they're probably just gone. A440
If they are deleted their remains might still be on your hard drive. Here's a free file-recovery program. http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/uk/welcome.htmIt may or may not come up with your missing files; they may or may not be encrypted. But if nothing else revives them, it's worth a try. See what's there, and put the file back into wherever My Library resides. If you're still looking for the files on the MD, that second attempt to upload them probably deleted them forever. SonicStage at its most vicious and useless.
