Hi everybody Im new... to the MD and to this community.

Well, I have questions, hope you dont mind and someone can help me happy.gif

The remote always include the radio or they dont necesary come together?

I already get a list of wich remote's are compatible with the NH600D but i would like to know wich of them have a radio (in case my firs question is true tongue.gif).

This is the list I get (acording to some posts I've been looking at)

RM-MCEL11S

RM-MC12ELK

RM-MC35ELK

RM-MCEL33S

I've seen some of them here but it dont said if they have radio. And i notice some of them have the same ... mmm... letters, but in diferent order, what does that mean?

Sorry for asking to much, but as I said im new biggrin.gif

Thanks in advance smile.gif

[sorry for the bad english too unsure.gif ]

Well, actually (if I'm not wrong) you CAN use the radio remotes with your 600D, but the Radio functions won't be accessible (i.e. they'd be normal remotes).

usually the remote control for portable don't have radio function

what have radio function is the portable(Hi-MD player or MD player) itself

NH600D have no radio function, pls take attention

on Hi-MD portable series, only NHF800 do have radio function

if u want radio, either

1. buy a headphone/earphone that have radio function but no remote control function

2. buy a remote control, but without radio

if for the remote control for NHF800, it is remote for the radio function of NHF800, remote control itself don't have radio function

Sorry, Psychowood, the radio tuner remotes are physically incompatible with non radio units (radio remote uses ++ connector vs the traditional --, Vaio pocket uses -Y- connectors).. However, you can use non radio remotes with radio units.

In otherwords, you can not use the Radio remotes with your NH600D

EL denotes that remote is backlit. the K postfix denotes high-res display for asian (Japanese and Chinese)languages. Contrary to what pictures show, none of the radio remotes are backlit.

Finally, the model recommended for all HiMD units are RM-MC40ELK, thanks to its extra large display and jog-wheel navigation on the remote.

Oops.... you're right, I thought radio unit won't accept non-radio remotes.

Just to go a little OT, has someone ever tryed to modify the radio-remotes plug? smile.gif

Do you know if old remotes (like RM-MZR50/55) work with new HiMD? The plug should be the same, from the pictures I've found in the net...

Yes, those remote will control basic funtions of the NH600D, but if you wish to get full funtionality from the remote you'll want to get a RM-MC33EL or newer model remote.

33EL cannot search

Search as in within the track, or within the disc? All remotes can search within the tracks (AFAIK), as so long as you hold the FF/RW position lever. If you're talking about Search within a disc by artist, genre, etc. then the only remote capable of such, and only with a HiMD unit is RM-MC40ELK.

actually in a technicality all remotes can search in sub-groups created on the fly, they just cannot create/configure the subset setup.

For example if you (on the unit) put it into artist play mode, then pressing the group next button (on the remote) will jump between artists.
