I have a Pocket Vaio and updated the firmware and to SS 2.3 as soon as i got it. I am quite happy with this but have read here about SS 3.2. Could somebody tell me what you get extra and is it easy to do. I just about managed the download last time but am not very confident with this sort of thing . Any info gladly recieved as long as it's easy to understand. Thanks

The most significant improvement you get (for your VAIO Pocket) from upgrading to SonicStage 3.2 is the option to playback one of the new ATRAC3plus bit rates: 192kbps.

Is there much sound difference between 256 and 320

Please note that you can't playback ATRAC3plus 320kbps with the VAIO Pocket. The only new ATRAC3plus bit rates made available by SonicStage 3.2 that can be utilized by the VAIO Pocket is 192kbps. *ATRAC3plus bit rates: 320kbps, 256kbps, 192kbps, 160kbps, 128kbps, 96kbps, 64kbps and 48kbps. [bolded = new]

There are no significant difference between ATRAC3plus 256kbps and 320kbps; to my ears, the latter is somewhat warmer. I would recommend that you keep using ATRAC3plus 256kbps with the VAIO Pocket. If you are concern with HDD capacity, utilize ATRAC3plus 192kbps instead.
