Question

These r some buying tips which can help people before they can buy one.

First i will tell u pros & cons of Hard disk based Player & then flash based player

Pros=

1.they can contain a huge amount of music varying from 2500 songs to 15000 song(Depending upon the bitrate u choose)

2.They r available in 5gb ,20gb,30gb to mammoth 60gb(Apple I-pod)

3 Copying files will be lot faster on hard disk based players.for instance,it will take around 7.6sec to copy just 86mb worth of music onto the sony hd-5or HD-3 ,which is indeed fast

For other models time taken for tranferring 86 mb r as below():

1.I-pod(60gb)=9.2sec

2.Ipod U2 SE= 7.7sec

3.I pod30 gb =9sec

4I-pod mini (old)=13sec

5.I-River H10(5gb)=18sec

6 .creative

(Muvo Fm) 5gb=15.91sec

7 Creative Zen micro=22.01sec

8.samsung YH-J70(30 GB)=18.92

Cons:

1.They r more bulkier than flash based players.

2. They r more prone to damage (As they contain hard disk). They cannot with stand toughest of shocks

3.They r costlier.

4.Less battery life(other than nw-hd based players)

5.These players will tend to heat up b`coz they contain moving parts.

Now about Flash Based Players:

They r aslo called Solid state players.

Pros:

1.They more portable & also they r more lighter

2 Battery life is more e.g sony nw-e505 has about 50hours of battery life

3.More cute

4.Ucan around & they will not be damaged easily. In real meaning they less prone to damage as they do not have any moving parts.

Cons:

1.They take a lot of time in transfer music or any other thing i.e . They r slow indeed.

2.They r available in small amount of memory varies from 256MB,512MB,1GB TO 4GB(APPLE-NANO)

3.They cost more to produce

For models time taken for tranferring 86 mb r as below:

1I.Pod shuffle (1gb)= 40.42sec

2.Sony NW-e505(512mb)=60sec

3 Bravish m339=117.82

4.Creative Movo Mix=30.96

5.I-river T20=27.52

Note :TEST BED FOR TEST was
