I see that it comes with the gumstick and from reading posts it sounds as if I should upgrade that soon. However, I wanted to use the AA battery by itself for most of my needs. 1. Does anyone have opinions about using just the AA battery and not the gumstick?2. The manual says to use an Alkaline AA. Does that mean I cannot use my NiMH AA batteries?3. But no problem using just AA battery.Answer to 2: No, you can certainly use NiMH. AA battery act as a supplement to extend operation time.Answer to 3: You can get SonicStage 3.1 from this thread. I have a bunch of rechargable AA batteries that are not alkaline --they are NiMH AA. The NH900 manual clearly states alkaline AA and years ago I recall there were problems with some electronics when you mixed battery types.
