AcTs
Hello everyone.. I tried to look this up.. found alot of questions pertaining to the quality and which is best for recording.. but nothing along the lines I need. I had SS 2.3 I think it was.. and it has atrac3+ which I used to encode @ 67kbps? Well when I upgraded to the US version of SS 3.01 it no longer has atrac3+ as an encoding feature! Only (there are of course other bitrates... just no more atrac3+ in the encoding options) atrac3 @ 66 kbps. Is this the same as the atrac3+ @ 67kbps? I apologize if this has beed adressed but after wading through 5 pages with no answers after searching I had to ask. Any help is appreciated. Thanks to all who reply.. -AcTs
jadeclaw
Ahem, That's new.I've had the 3.0 as well as the 3.1 and both offer all default bitrates. However, if you don't have a Hi-MD unit, it might not offer the Atrac3+-bitrates for transfer onto MD.LP4@66k cannot be directly compared with Hi-LP@64k, as LP4 suffers from low channel separation. On the other paw, LP4 has slightly less artefacts, so it could sound a little bit better. When importing/ripping, it should always offer all modes. I guess I will have to live with atrac3 ... -AcTsAhem, That's new.I've had the 3.0 as well as the 3.1 and both offer all default bitrates. When importing/ripping, it should always offer all modes.←

If it is in regular MD mode it will not give you the option of transferring in atrac3+ formats.
