mactra
It seems that my trusty AT822 is no longer recording in stereo. It also doesn't seem to work with phantom power any longer, though it works with the battery. I'm using it with the supplied 1' XLR-to-stereo mini cord. It's plugged into a new MZ RH910, which is working properly (when i plug the mini jack in while in record mode, the L&R meters bounce separately--it's just when the mic is securely plugged in that it passes a mono signal). The mic won't work on my phantom-powered Mackie board at all. It sounds great with the '910--just mono... any thoughts? thanks!mack

Audio Technica's website says "Battery operation only". Maybe you damaged it running it into the Mackie board with phantom power? Or maybe your cable needs to be replaced? Just as a heads up, in case you haven't seen this (from the AT website for the AT822):BATTERY TYPE 1.5V AA/UM3 Warning: The AT822 is designed for battery operation only. Do not attempt to use when phantom power is present. Possible damage to the microphone may result.
