The original remote for my NZ510 just died mad.gif

Can you reccomend a good replacement for this model? I also own an MZ-R33 player, and the remote with this unit did not work well with my NZ510.

Thanks for your reccomendations!

The RMC-33EL or 35ELK would be a perfect replacement for the supplied remote. Backlight, and LCD. The difference between the two is that the ELK has a higher resolution screen, and can display Kanjii (chinese-style) characters.

Other remotes may work, but only the 33EL, and 35ELK will offer you full compatibility, allowing you to access the menu options from the remote.

If you hack your unit, you can use these LCD remotes to access some new features, like the 6-band EQ, etc.

Otherwise, just replace it with the remote that came supplied with your unit, RMC-11 (i think...)

Hi,

I have just received my mz-n520. I found the remote to be quite irritating because it is extremely easy to inadvertantly press the "Group" key which are fit on the side of the (tiny) remote. mad.gif

When doing so while playing say track T, and when no Group has been defined, the unit then skips to the track T+9. Then it is a hassle to go back to Track T and find the exact portion of the track that was being played prior to the pressing this key (I listen to a lot of radio broadcasts, so I don't feel like listening the track again from the very beginning again). ohmy.gif

Is there any way to disable this "Group" key from the remote so that when pressed by mistake, nothing happens (not found oit in the user's manual) ? wink.gif

Thanks !
