x3lda Posted May 6, 2005 Report Share Posted May 6, 2005 I'm sorry that this is old and may be an age old topic but I need serious help because i've spent the last three days researching and trying stuff after the hack went wrong.Here's my predicament:I have a two year old n505.I (being newb) tried that hack without knowing what each button did in service mode. Accidentally pressed a few keys, and the n505 started making noises everytime I played something but didn't play anything.I think i screwied one of the eeprom values so I went and found the n505 1.200 values table and tried to copy all the values. The minidisc started to play again but still had weird noises from the motor or something and none of the buttons worked. Sooo, i did a NV reset through eeprom 021 and did autoconfiguration of 031-037. 031 always failed cause I don't have CDMD media (where do i find it? do i really need it?). But the rest works fine. 036 has been working itself for the last hour and is still going. Despite these, my minidisc player still shows "NV ERR" which the autoconfiguration should have fixed according toe the service mode manual. Any help any1? I want my moommmyyy.Thx in advanced.
