Nh1 And Ss3

hi, i am new to using md's, i recently bought the nh1 and am wondering about using ss3.

are there any problems when simply upgrading from ss2 to ss3? (i.e. will it be compatible with the nh1?)

also looking around in the posts, is there support for atrac3+ for the hi-md on ss3?

Yes, it the NH1 is supported.

Backup your Library first, which should be done regularly anyway.

Second, make sure, that on all albums the 'MyCompilation'-checkbox in the properties is unchecked,

third, make sure, that the 'source'-column of all tracks contain the name of the album the tracks are in (usually the case, when ripped from CD).

That saves you sorting the tracks later, as SS3 completely changes the way 'MyCompilation'-albums are handled.

Luckily, you have to do it only once, after that, you will find, that the whole sorting is done more logically.

are there any additional bits of software i need to download before i can use ss3? i see in this forum there is a version to download, is this complete?

currently i am using win2000 pro, i dont have any internet connection so will i be able to install it sucessfully?

Yes, the installer here was made for folk who have computers without a 'net connection. As for the upgrade, I would back up first as jadeclaw suggests and give it a whirl.

what will be the main advantages i will get with using ss3?

do you have any tips or tricks i can do when using ss3 with my nh1?

can you also suggest the best place to download ss3?
