ff9dagger
hi guys, firstly thanks for reading the thread! well, here is my problem... i have a mz-n910 net md by sony, and has served me great over the years.... the problem only began recently...it seems if i touch the front left side of the MD device (above and below the lcd screen) the MD will just stop in its tracks and reset (the disc will play from the start again)....it seems like the MD isnt closing properly or something??? i was just wondering if this is a known fault and if there is a known solution! Thanks for all help in advance!Chris
Ishiyoshi
Welcome to MDCF!This is not a known physical fault. From your description, it appears that the lid/hinge of the unit is damaged. Did you ever drop the unit on a hard surface? At this point, it would be best you sent the unit to a Sony Service Center to rectify the problem. I doubt that there’s a quick DIY solution.Good luck, Chris.

It would be worthwhile to call your local Sony Service Center for a quote.Cheers,Ishii
