Gill2002
Hiya, I'm new to this community and hope you can help me.For the past year I have been using my Sony NET MD Walkman NF 810 to record music at concerts, then uploading it onto my pc using Roxio easy cd & dvd. No probs whatsoever. Went to do it again last week but just got a 'flat line' on the sound editor, no sound recorded whatsoever!!!! In a fit of panic I went and bought an updated version of Roxio (Creator 7), thinking this was the problem. But no... it still doesn'y work!!!!!!! Really hope someone can help me!!I'm not very technical minded, so please make advise as easy to understand as possible Waiting in anticipation Gill
jadeclaw
I guess, you are recording from headphone out to LineIn on the pc.In that case, check, if you hear something, when plugging the earbuds into the md-recorder.If yes, then check the cable and/or the soundcard. If the cable is ok, then the soundcard is the problem.either the card is fried or we have a driver problem. But first, check the adjustments/input selection in the mixer panel and keep an eye on the surround sound settings, LineIn often doubles for Rear out. Gill2002
I can hear sound through earbuds, think it may be the sound card. How do I check if it is ? And can you replace them? Also, is this a common problem? Thanks for your help Jadeclaw! Gill
Qwakrz
You do know there is a recording and playback side to the volume control in XP (and 98/95). Open the full volume control and choose options then properties. Make sure recording is dotted then click ok. Now make sure that the input you are using has the select box ticked.
