tenpinmark
I'm having some real issues with what is becomming the worst bit of software ever created other than what Microsoft has bestowed upon us.My PC meets all the required specifications for SonicStage but still it won't install cleanly - The other day I had to run the installer 9, yep NINE!! times before it installed and I changed diddly squit on my system before it went through to the end. But now I have it installed and it still continues to be a lump of crap - If I try and play any music through it, then every few seconds it "freezes" my machine for a second or so (This can be seen when moving the mouse round in a circle and when the system freezes the mouse just stops or heard by a pause in the music). Another beautiful attribute of this software is that my mouse pointer jumps all over the screen (sometime by a few inches!) When I do not run Sonic Stage, my system is perfect and runs very smoothly.Another really great "feature" is that when I tried to upgrade form version 3.0 to 3.1, the 3.1 version removes 3.0 and flatly refuses to install at all - nice! One last point - how the hell are you supposed to rip to MP3? The docs say that you can but you need some sort of add-on for MP3 - any ideas about the location for this software? So, has anybody managed to get this software to work SMOOTHLY at all? Has anybody managed to get somethig else to work other than SonicStage or have I just bought two net walkmans and made the biggest mistake of my life so far? Thanks for reading this ranttin.Mark
Breepee2
First I want to suggest to rip to MP3 with another program, EAC in combination with Lame (search Google for details), to achieve best possible quality. Second, isn't there an MP3-uploader for the networkwalkmans that does just that and doesn't need nor use ShitStage? Third SonicStage indeed is the largest insult that us customers and MD-fanatics ever could have. Edited May 29, 2005 by Breepee2
Christopher
Welcome, tenpinmark! Works wonderfully on my machine. Before we can really diagnosis your problems, please post your system specs according to the rules.
