I have a Sony portable minidisc player that I bought new a few years ago and that I connect to my computer to put songs on my minidiscs. I recently acquired an older sony MZ-E40 Portable Minidisc Player that plays the minidiscs that came with it but not my newer ones. I need to know what I need to do, what format I need to convert my songs into or what so that I can copy songs onto a minidisc and play them on the older player as well. Anyone with any expertise in this area, PLEASE email me at v0shem@aol.com with your advice!! I've been messing around with this for a couple hours and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!

Well, you are going to have to record in "SP" mode in order for the E40 to play them. That will give you 80 minutes max on a disc.
