voshem
I have a Sony portable minidisc player that I bought new a few years ago and that I connect to my computer to put songs on my minidiscs. I recently acquired an older sony MZ-E40 Portable Minidisc Player that plays the minidiscs that came with it but not my newer ones. I need to know what I need to do, what format I need to convert my songs into or what so that I can copy songs onto a minidisc and play them on the older player as well. Anyone with any expertise in this area, PLEASE email me at v0shem@aol.com with your advice!! I've been messing around with this for a couple hours and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!Jessi

A440
You can't use the new Hi-MD (1GB) discs in an older player. You can use 74-minute and 80-minute discs but you have to format them as MD (not Hi-MD) in REC SET and, as above, you have to record to them in SP.
