1kyle
I've given up waiting for a decent HI-MD shelf unit to come out --and I still have a lot of LP2 MD's (around 400 or so) and a car MD Radio that plays MDLP as well.I've seen an offer on this for 160 GBPShould I buy it --- It seems cheap enough for a piece of hi end gear and of course I like the Optical Out feature.I know as soon as I give my credit card number -- Sony will announce a HI-MD product -- but this seems (by UK standards) a good deal.Anybody else used this model. Here's the spec (although this is NOT the cheapest place to get it from).http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/mo...Product_ID/1124Cheers-K Edited June 12, 2005 by 1kyle

Good as new, though.I had some fun and games with getting my PC to load the right NetMD driver, but that was because I didn't have the orignal older SonicStage + drivers CD.Someone in this community kindly forwarded the correct drivers and all was well in the end.It has two digital inputs, one optical, the other coax - this suits my set-up admirably. It's up to you whether you can afford it or not, and they don't come up all that often on EBay.Best of luck! KJ_Palmer
I second the JB980 recommendation. Fabulous deck for the reasons mentioned - a great full featured recorder and playback unit when connected to decent hi-fi separates... A Hi-MD equivalent deck would surely be a killer for the format...
