Wet Sock
I am having problems editing/erasing and recording tracks (analog and USB) on my MZ-NH900. It keeps giving the message "Protected Disc". I can't send anything to unit as an external drive either. The tab is not set on "protect" and this is not a pre-recorded disc. Any idea why this is happening? Anyone else have this problem. The recorder is about 9-10 months old. It seems others have had this problem, so I assume it is some kind of design weakness. One suggestion was to put tape over the tab, or at least the two holes on the bottom of the disc. There are two little things that sense the protection setting - you can seem them if you look in your device. Someone suggested making sure they are not bent - which mine weren't - but maybe yours are. I'm pretty mad, since this was an expensive unit. Wet Sock
Works like a charm. But, if I want to play the disc in my MD deck I have to remove the tape. The deck can't read the disc with the tape on. I bought a 2 year extended warranty, so hopefully it will get fixed. Thanks.
