I have a problem that I hope someone can help with. I have taken over my son's MD as he moved on to an ipod. I want to erase the old discs he gave me, but he deleted the old software on his computer so I can't check in his old tracks to delete the songs on my notebook. Is there a way to erase these discs without using openmg Jukebox so I can put my own music on them? any asssistance would be appreciated,

Welcome to MDCF!

Do you know what model is the portable MD you have inherited so to speak? It appears that the tracks in question were transferred using its included software. I would suggest that you install SonicStage 3.1 to facilitate recording task. Click here and select your regional choice accordingly.

Should you encounter any problems, please do not hesitate to post back according to the tech support posting rules.

Hi, thanks for the welcome note. It is a Sony MZN505 and I am using the software that came with the machine. Will sonicstage 3.1 allow mw to delete the old protected tracks?
