dwissl
I read, that the RH10 comes with a stand or case for the supplied gumstick battery. I also read, that one can charge the gumstick of the 910 directly in the player. So how exactly does one charge the 10's battery? Does one have to put the machine into a supplied cradle, because only this cradle has an AC adapter socket? Or can one also charge it directly in the player? Thanks
sebastianbf
Only the japanese version of the RH10 comes with the craddle, but all models come with a case to use normal AA batteries. The gumstick batteries can be charged in the unit. For further info check this:http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=11418
sebastianbf
Ohh. one more thing: take a look at this pictorial. You will see that the unit has a AC adapter socket. You can charge the unit this way, connecting it to the Usb or using the cradle.http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=9326
KJ_Palmer
I certainly charge my RH10 by attaching the adapter to the main body - the UK version doesn't come with a charging cradle anyway. In any case, I've never used the cradles of other units for charging, so that's no bother...
Chiron
I have the 910 and it is so easy to recharge. It can be charged either through the a/c adaptor or thankfully just through the USB when plugged into your computer (A definite leg up over the IPOD if you don't have a firewire port). I luckily have two extra gum stick batteries from an old I-River mp3/cd player unit that I have. They work fine and charge in the 910. I would recommend getting 1 or 2 extra gum sticks if you can find them (usually at specialized electronics shops) so you don't have to deal with the hastle of the "strap-on" AA battery contraption.
