I had been using Sonic Stage since I bought my recorder in January. I few days ago, i formatted my hard drive, re-installed windows and all my software. After getting my recorder connected to my pc again, I got the dreaded message about "discs cant be used because they were initialized by a program other than sonic stage." I did some searching, and ended up here. From what ive gathered, this is due to the omg_id file no longer matching the omg id on my discs. I have about 5 1gb hi-md discs. I cant just fomat them because they contain irreplacible original recordings. Is there ANYTHING i can do besides doing another analog recording onto my pc? If it helps at all, I still have an oma file or two from my previous install. Ive read that the omg key can be found floating around in the oma file somewhere. Would it be possible to track the old key down in the old oma file and copy the bytes into the new omg_key id file? I also tried viewing the bytes of the minidisc itself but my hex software mentions something about it being copy protected or some jazz like that!

Help!

Thanks everyone.
