ja0005
Hope someone can help....It takes hours to import a CD and very often I get an error msg saysing "Cannot Read this CD". It has happened on loads of different CD's and in two CD drives. Has anyone any idea why this is happening and what I can do to speed it up? I've got SS 3.1Thanks
KrazyIvan
Are you sure the CD is not copy protected or majorly scratched. You could also upgrade to SS 3.

You could also upgrade to SS 3.2←I'm pretty sure its not the CD's - sometimes no tracks get imported, other times its before the first one. I'll try upgrading. ROMBUSTERS
could be your CDROM drive firmware/drivers as well...Your CPU speed would greatly help us make more acurate guesses.

I know the CPU speed will be slow, but dont know where to find the details. Also it takes ages recording to a MD and sometimes the recordings have got hissing/crackling noises on them. Should have stuck to cassettes!!
