MZ-RH10, f-fwd/rewind button irritation

Hi guys

I've had my RH10 for over a month now and it's awesome.

Yes still have to use SonicStage but at least it works now.

A minor irritation is the menu - why? A separate display button would have been killer.

My problem is this...

Fast forwarding and rewinding through tracks doesn't seem to work too well.

If you hold the >>| and |<< buttons down to hard, you skip to the next track, or it bookmarks the track.

The bookmarking of the track is weird as that happens if you hold down >/ent in the middle of the 'd pad'

It's as if it's pressing the play button everytime you also press the fwd and rew buttons

Works fine on the remote

Just wondered if anyone else was having problems with the >>| and |<< buttons

I heard that some people are having similar malfunctions with the volume buttons.

Can I send my unit off for free from the UK to get this problem fixed?

It happens every time I try and fwd and rew through tracks.

Hi there,

My solution to this problem is to press the RW/FF button on the edge and not in the center near the play button.

Yeah I've found that too, but even then it's not reliable.

Just strikes me as being a bit shoddy for Sony - which normally is great!

I'll try being more precise on the fwd button.

Generally I just use my remote now though.

At least I know it's not a one-off problem and that other people are having the same trouble.

I find the buttons to be very tiny in general, making things more difficult than they need be. I miss the huge 4-way rocker on my R700, these controls on the RH10/910 are apparently designed for japanese fingers.
