mattpeers
Looking for a microphone for my mz-nh600 in the U.K. that will work with my line-in socket, so no plug-in power unfortunately. Otherwise its back to using my ancient mz-r70 (which I love to bits) and it's plug-in-power. Incidentely, the remote of my mz-r70 works with the mz-nh600 which was a bit of an unexpected bonus, thou it doesn't have a screen sadly. Thanks for your help
jdisdle
I think there is a greater dynamic range using line in. I would like confirmation of this though. Some battery boxes mentioned on this forum, have a small 9 volt battery that may not be available in the UK. I don't know if they all have a pre-amp either. You will need one with the NH600.Circuit diagrams for mic. pre-amps can be found on the web, at ePanarama.com if you are handy with a soldering iron, I have just built one but as yet have not given it a real test. Roamer
What would you like to record ? It usually have to be quiet loud without a preamp, although that depends also on the mics (and most of them are available from US).
