Need advice on MZ-N707

I have been using my MZ-N707 for 3 years. I have it in the fairing pocket of my Honda Goldwing and run it through the auxillary sound and use the car adapter for power. I have the remote installed on the dash. It beats the heck out of paying $1000 for the Honda CD player.

My problem is that the MD is starting to cut out intermittently. When it does this there is no display on the lcd screen and it does it with a battery or the car adapter.

I probably need to replace it but I wanted to know what models will the remote that I have work with. Can I buy one without a remote and use the one I have?

thanks in advance for any advice

Welcome to the forums.

For those who are browsing by the topic with mild interest, here is the Honda Goldwing. cyto, it sounds like you've taken some interesting steps to integrate your MD into your bike -- I'd like to see some pictures of this (you can utilize our attachment feature or the Gallery).

Before we continue, can you confirm what remote you're using? Is it the remote (sans LCD) that came with the unit, like this:

Thanks for the reply,

Yes it is the remote that came with the MD. If you want more details on my set up let me know. I am thinking of using a play only md in the bike if my remote will work with it and use the mz-n707 for recording until it stops permanently.
