idh959
Hi everyone,I have a Sony MZ-G750, for which I was running the the adjustments in service mode using the instructions on these pages. Whilst running the record adjustment macro it finished with the error code "138 NG 1F". Can anyone tell me what this means.I can already guess that the recorder is stuffed because it wont record. But is it possible to fix?Cheers,
Christopher
Welcome to the forums. You can learn how to solve this and why it occured, here:http://minidisc.org/manuals/sony/service/info/sony007167.pdf
idh959
Thanks Kurisu, but what does this mean. I need to replace the chasis and spindle motor? Is this hard to do? is this worth the effort? would I be better off buying a new player? "I have successfully repaired several with a chassis and a spindle motor. The spindle motor alone will not solve the fault everytime. Defenite soft impact damage (No outward signs)"
