MP3FM problem?

I am quite positive i didn't have this problem when using SonicStage.

Therefore:

One thing about MP3FM that is extremely annoying, is that if you same "Artist" ID-tag, but different "Genre" ID-tags on your mp3 files, they will be listed as "different artists" on your player after transferring them (with MP3FM).

As an example, imagine you have the following files:

Artist | Title | Genre

------------------------------------------------------------

ACDC | Highway to Hell | Rock

ACDC | Back in Black | Hard Rock

------------------------------------------------------------

After you transfer them with MP3FM, they will be listed on your player (if searching by artist) NOT as:

Artist:

ACDC

Title:

Highway to Hell

Back in Black

But rather:

Artist:

ACDC

Title:

Highway to Hell

Artist:

ACDC

Title:

Back in Black

I am not sure this is the case with all walkman devices, but it certainly is with my HD5!

Easiest solution is perhaps to simply remove all the Genre fields in your ID-tags :)

Anyone know of a workaround for this? Reverse engineering MP3FM gogo? :P

Just tried VAIO music transfer.. It doesn't have the same problem as MP3FM :)

I also sometime use Vaio music Tranfer(It is far better than mp3fm) ..but the main thing is i never search music by Artists .So it is not a problem to me ...
