crafter
hi, its been awhile since i came here.anyway, i transfered an album (about 12 songs) to my n420d and the playback on the md is really screwed up. i dont really know how to explain it but here it goes: any song that i transfered plays weird, it's like someone upped the tempo and theres this squeaking sound in the background of the song. the song(s) plays but it's like 1.5 times faster and has squeaks in the bg. i havent transfered a song to my md in months, i've tried deleting that album and transferring again, but same thing happens. the songs play fine on my computer. i converted it to LP4 before transferring. well i guess that's enough info, i hope someone can help me with this quick. o yea, im using sonicstage 3.1. Christopher
Upgrade to Sonicstage 3.2, post your system specs according to the rules, and tell us about these mp3's -- what bitrate, are they CBR/VBR, etc.

Sunny
i dont really know how to post my system specs if someone can tell me how to do it, i'll post em up. This is copied from the "Rules for support-related topics in this forum - PLEASE READ" Link with a red-ish background at the top of the page: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?act=SR&f=62"When making a support request, be as thorough with your information as possible. The more you tell us, the more likely a solution can be found. Include as much tech info as you can provide, including but not limited to: - Operating system version and service pack level - SonicStage and Simple Burner versions, if relevant - Whether codec packs have been installed on the system [especially FFDSHOW - turn off the mp3 bit] - the model of the recorder/downloader involved - Basic computer hardware info, including as a minimum: CPU type/speed; amount of RAM installed; USB interface version [1.0, 1.1, or 2.0] - List of applications that were running when the problem occurred, especially USB helper utilities for devices such as mice or cameras, antivirus app and their version, and anything else that loads on boot and is always open in the background [or the windows system tray, down by the clock in the corner] - Are you truly anti-virus free? This is required for all support-related topics. While some users won't be able to provide all the information asked, the more that is provided, the easier it is to find solutions - as well as the common elements between seemingly-unrelated problems."Check out the link though, these's more info there which might help. Hope you can recover your tracks.
crafter
it seems to be happening on only these 12 songs, i tried transfering other songs and they work just fine. and my mp3's are okay, so is the .omg file, nothing is corrupted but i still dont know why the md player plays it weird. o yea, i upgraded to 3.2 Edited October 10, 2005 by crafter
edoastudillot
Hi, I have the same problem as you. But it is happening with 2 folders with 10 songs each one. I don´t know what´s wrong with it because the other songs that i´ve recorded sound good. I think Sonic stage is the problem..I´ll reinstall it and tell you how it went. edoastudillot
Hi, I figured out that the problem is only with mp3s, I made a copy of the screwed up songs to .WAV ,and sonicstage plays them without any problem. But it is a mess to think that I will have to convert all my mp3s to .WAV in order to sonicstage playback them well. =(
