Hi! I know this might sound a little weird and stupid but I still gotta know your opinion guys about this matter...

There's really nothing I can do in order to get more space to record sounds to my Std-MD (MZ-N707)? Am I limited to those 74/80 min disks? Thanks ;)

You can only utilize standard 74/80min with NetMD/MD units; and if you want more capacity, you will have to settle for more lossy compression such as LP2 and LP4 at the expense of quality. Bottom-line: you can't utilize 1GB Hi-MD disc with NetMD/MD devices.

Thank you Ishiyoshi! ;) I wanted more space in a disc without loosing too much sound quality. I guess all I need is a Hi-MD, but all this thing of sony's announcement that the end of MD might be near is frightening me... I think MD is so much better than those ipod things. We don't even need a pc around to exchange our songs when we get tired; all we have to do is change the disc and discs are easy to carry. Not to mention the "tools" MD have that gives you total control over your songs. Let's see what happens... :(

... and I think that one of _really_ smart features of HiMD is the ability to use existing "normal" MD media, and format it to HiMD standard with increased data capacity.

That's very clever, IMHO!
