pinkz0r
Problem description:My pcs won't recognize my MZ-N10. The problem occured after reinstalling win xp with sp2 integrated in both of them. The usb cable is plugged on usb 2.0 port, in both machines ports work otherwise fine and all usb drivers are up-to-date. I have tried connecting via the deck and connecting the cable straight to netmd. Neither way works. The only reaction that can be figured is that netmd makes a humming sound for a brief moment but nothing is shown on the display. Neither of the pcs react in any way. What have i done to solve the prob:I have done everything step-by-step as described on the instructions on software instructions. Reinstalled everything, also fixed registry after uninstallation of all described software.Hardware:---desktop pc:3,0g p4 prescott1024 pc3200 ramasus p4p800 mb160g 7200rpm samsung + 80g 7200rpm samsungsapphire radeon 9800 prosb live 5.1windows xp sp2 integratedlatest drivers installed on all---laptop:fujitsu siemens amilo m1425p m745102480 gigsmobility radeon 9700windows xp sp2 integratedlatest driversthe problem occcured after reinstalling everything on both pc's. i used to have win xp and afterwards installed sp1. everything worked like charm. the problem seems similar to brendanhm's on Knowledge Center > Software Discussion/FAQ's.the problem is painful as i don't have any other portable device atm and could say i love n10. it's also used for recording speech but has been useless for a month now. any help is greatly appreciated.E: the reason i posted it here is that i'm not sure whether it's software or my md messing up. Levanel
Same for me. The NetMD functionality of the N10 is dead, making it just another MDLP recorder. As far as I can tell, there is no fix for this unless you send it in for warranty service. (not even installing the latest version of sonicstage will fix this)Least I still have something to work with in importing audio. Recording via microphone is one way, recording via the optical toslink is another. But I still have to enter in title/name/etc into the recorder manually.
