KrazyIvan
This is the first time I post in this particular forum so be gentle. Here she is. The Aiwa AM-F80. I purchased the unit used from a forum member at the T-Board. So far I really have enjoyed this unit. I especially like it's EL backlit and easy to read screen on both the unit and the remote. The rotary volume control is also a bonus. Enjoy! All pictures © Copyright 2005 - Ivan Romero Edited October 29, 2005 by KrazyIvan

cambridgeman
I loooooooooooooooooovvve my AIWAs!!!! Tell me, I just bought an AIWA AM-F80, too. But, I am not sure if mine is working properly. I am considering buying another one. I am finding that when it is recording, my unit makes a rather loud whirring noise. Far, far louder than my AIWA AM-F70. My Panasonic SJ-MR230, and the SONY MZ-N1 are relatively silent in comparison. Is this just my unit, or is your unit's recording mechanism also rather loud? I want to be able to use mine to make stealth recordings in a quite closed room environment, and I don't think the unit I have is suitable. The Panasonic is quiet, but it can't record in mono!!! I love the AIWA recorders, and am wondering if another one would be better. I am considering maybe buying a SONY MZ-N910 or SHARP DR7, if I can't get any help from the online community. Please help !!!!
