Question

The other day i had a couple of albums (both in mp3 formats..no idea bout atrac files yet) in my HD5 with the track order mixed up (I.E: song #1 ends up as song #5). but in SS 3.1 and mp3 file manager it shows the track listings are in the correct order.

does anyone know what could be wrong? i just deleted them off and re-copied them back into the player..but still..can be a lil bit irritating esp when im not anywhere near the pc

have you checked the ID3 and ID3-V2 tags onyour pc. i had a similar thing happen to me, because i had double tags with different track numbers.

Leon

not too sure bout that...but the track listings were correct before. it just happened one fine day.

there was this one time where i dumped my player on the bed after unplugging it from the pc..that messed up the database...just restarting the player solved that...but i dont remember that messing up the track lists

Had something similar happen with MD Simple Burner. After ripping a CD to a minidisc, the software would display the tracks properly, but once the MD player was disconnected from the PC, the track order was reversed. Track 25 became track 1, track 24 became track 2, etc. I've never had this happen with flash or HDD players though.

I have a similar problems - but its with sorting the tracks on my NW-HD1. I pumped in a few albums such as Balance 005, Balance 006 etc. and the following day I put in more like Balance 007 and Balance 004. Now if I browse the groups (on the player) it shows me the list in the order that I transferred, not in the alphabetical order which is what I expect. If I switch the mode to artist, album, or genre, it displays the list finely sorted, but just not with groups.

Any idea how I can sort the groups list as well?
