nickpan
I bought the MZ-RH10 assuming that it would sound better cause it was newer than the NH1..however have been reading about the NH1 and it has this 'high def' amp etc..whats all that about? (vpf engine?)ThanksNick
Fermaninicus
I own both the RH10 and the NH1. I don't know if I could say I prefer one or the other. The HD amp on the NH1 does sound a little cleaner. I have compared them using the same disc with a normal equilizer setting. Now the VPT acoustic engine is really pretty cool. It allows you to change the tempo (speed) of the recording and it keeps the music at the same pitch level. For example when you speed the recording up it does not sound like chipmunks. The only draw back is that it has predetermined speed levels you can not change it slowly (o-5%-10%-20%-33%-50%-100% etc).In my opinion you you only want a player and might rarely want to record get the NH1. If you want a unit to do primarily recording get the RH10.

acidboy84
cheers mate..might be investing in a second minidisc then!At least its slimmer than the MZ-NH10 and has a better remote by default if you really use a remote,
