EZero
The newspaper also quoted the Samsung executive as saying both companies would probably sign a contract in the first half of 2006, and that the contract would exceed Samsung’s $500 million sales contract with Apple Computer Inc., although no value was given.Reports also said that in order to catch up with rival Apple in the digital portable music market, Sony is seeking to secure NAND flash chips of 8Gbytes and higher for a series of new MP3 players due out next year, with the order amount expected to be more than a fifth of Samsung’s total NAND flash output for 2006.http://www.reed-electronics.com/electronic.../CA6294125.htmlGood move. This could possibly be the turning around year for the Walkman brand. Now please Sony, don't give it less featuares than the Nano. Go all out, and even add voice recording, FM Radio, etc.
Guest Stuge
It would be nice to See 8gb flash players in the market ..As the size of memory of flash player will increase the market of Hard disk player will go down because Flash players are better in many ways..As they can take any shock
Rumz
Fantastic. Looks like an aggressive move by Sony. Perhaps they've learned that they can't expect to release a 4gb flash player next fall and have it be a hit-- Apple will no doubt have 6gb-8gb flash players by then. pata2001
Oh yeah, bring it on. The only concern about Sony is price, release date (would Apple beat them to it, again?), and DRM crap.
