FPK Posted December 13, 2005 Report Share Posted December 13, 2005 I am a Mac user and I don't like the idea of paying an extra $100 or so to buy the MZ-M100 over the RH10. If I record something as a PCM file on an RH10, upload it onto a PC, turn it into a .wav file using Sony's software, can I then transfer this same file to my Mac using something like a little usb drive? Will my Mac recognize it as a plain old .wav file without some weird Sony encription? I don't plan on downloading anything onto the RH10, I'll use it strictly as a recorder. If minidisc goes obsolete, I'll "only" be out a couple hundred $'s and still have a decent recorder that will last a few years. But don't forget to close any Sony MD software before you try to access the MD-unit as external USB drive from Windows Explorer, since SonicStage and MD Simple Burner lock the device as long as they are running!Cheers - Killroy.
