Bananatree
From Engadget: Quote Today JVC announced their geeked-out UX-HD1-M shelf system with a 4.3-inch color LCD and 2 x 20 watt speakers. The 40GB internal drive allows you to rip CDs into PCM/ATRAC/MP3 formats, while CDDB lookups over the included Ethernet ensures the files are properly tagged. In fact, the UX-HD1-M allows you to hit the Sony (and JVC Victor co-sponsored) ANYMUSIC service direct so our Japanese brethren can purchase and download music straight to the disk. And with DLNA support, you can even stream your MP3s off your PC’s disk. They even throw in USB on the front for convenient connection to your like-equipped DAP. Nice. Oh, and ‘cause it’s Japan you get MiniDisc to bridge the technology gap. No pricing available yet but it’ll drop in Japan next month.http://www.jvc-victor.co.jp/audio_w/produc...d1-m/index.htmlLooks very cool
akijikan
That's not a mini system, its a minicomputer! That's also freaking awesome...too bad we'll never see it...or if we did it would minus MD...I wonder if you can you record data on the HD to MD or only CD to MD (if at all)? And give me more than 40 gigs...how long til some one opens one up and drops a fat HD.
