LP2 Toc Cloning on none-LP player

We recorded a demo the other night with a Sharp MD-MT290H in LP2-mode. Somehow, the TOC got messed up so that there is about 150 minutes of recorded material the player doesn't know of and that can not be played. :-( We therefor have to try cloning a TOC that makes the player read the whole disc as a 160 minutes LP2 track.

From what I understand when reading FAQ:s, there is something written in the TOC that tells the player to play the track in LP2-mode (?). My question is: Will it still be possible to perform a TOC clone on an older player, or will that mess things up? My idea is to create a one-track-disc with the same player and the same settings that was used to record the demo (Sharp MD-MT290H), but do the actual TOC update on a Sharp 701, since that seems to be much more "clone friendly".

Any ideas? Help in this matter will be most appreciated!
