Gryzor
Hello people!I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays! My warmest wishes to all of you There's a problem I've been experiencing for quite a while now, through various versions of SS and different installations: SS won't transfer songs to my Hi-MD, but it doesn't say much in terms of explanation; only something along the lines "SS was unable to transfer xxx". It's been driving me nuts, especially since there's really nothing to differentiate those songs it won't transfer from others that do not show this problem... any ideas on what to look for?tiaGryzor
Christopher
What kind of files are they, what bitrate, etc. Please state your system specs according to the rules.
Gryzor
I'm sorry about the lack of details, but it doesn't happen with specific files... usually 64kbps, but not only - have tried other bitrates as well. It seems really random... Both MP3s and ATRAC ripped files, too!
Gryzor
Anyone? Is it really so uncommon? Am I so unlucky? CheersGryzorPS Happy new year everyone Edited January 2, 2006 by Gryzor
A440
Can you be more specific about the files that don't transfer? Low bitrates (usually 48 kpbs) and variable bitrates have been known to give SonicStage trouble. Also, is it possible you accidentally added digital rights to your ATRAC rips? I believe that was the default in a previous SonicStage.
Gryzor
Well, would it help if I uploaded an mp3 somewhere? I don't use low bitrates (originals are from 128kbps and bove and Atrac is set at 64kbps, although other rates fail as well)... As for rights: for *some* of the files I'm trying to transfer, it says "Unlimited". Others do not have an indication at all...Geez, I can't use my MD any more... stupd SS! timonoj
Well, I just post here to see if somebody has any idea about it, since I have just the same problem, and its really annoying me...That's happening to me since SS1.5!I've been trying to get any clue since then, and I just found nothing...The songs had nothing to do between themselves: some of them were in VBR, some of them in CBR, some others @196kbps and above, some just 128 or even 112....When the thing goes really bad i just convert it to .wav and it shuts up about the "unable to transfer" bloody error...But i find so annoying to convert every single file to wav just for avoiding errors....
