natxbrotha
do any HiMD player/recorders support usb 2.0 for super fast transfer rates uploading to the computer? my main function for a HiMD recorder is for recording audio on low budget movies and uploading them to PC.is the Mz-NH700 a US model? what is the difference between a US model and the others? what would be stopping me from getting a european model? Killroy
Even if HiMD units supported USB 2.0, it would be without any benefit since the maximum read/write speeds of the magneto-optical MiniDisc media don't even utilize full USB 1.1 bandwith.European MD-units usually come without some accessoires like remote control, AC adapter, optical cable etc., and the EU-model's maximum output power is limited due to a French law. And all that for an even higher price because of extended warranty obligations, which are almost useless if you are an non-European resident... Cheers - Killroy. natxbrotha
thanks for the info! its much appreciated! i wasnt thinking about the minidisc like a dvdrom drive or something... where it can only read/write at a certain speed so if you connect them through a data cable, you are still limited to the drives speed. atleast thats my analogy for it. thanks again!
